Seasonal rise in mortgage lending – 20th November 2009
UK mortgage lending rose by 5% in October compared with the previous month, according to a lenders’ group. However, the £13.5bn of gross mortgage lending recorded by the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) was down 27% compared with a year ago.

Rightmove tells agents to spend more – or pay more – 19th November 2009

Expelled agent set to sue Ombudsman for defamation – 19th November 2009
The London agent expelled from the Property Ombudsman scheme after refusing to pay a fine is threatening to sue for defamation and seek substantial damages.
